Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro: Razer brings next-gen wireless technology to iconic design

Razer has just dropped the DeathAdder V4 Pro, and it’s a significant upgrade to one of gaming’s most trusted mice. After apparently selling over 20 million units worldwide, the DeathAdder line has earned its reputation in competitive gaming, and this latest version takes everything we loved about the original and improves it considerably.

The new DeathAdder V4 Pro introduces Razer’s HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2 system, delivering 63% better power efficiency and 37% lower latency compared to its predecessor. They’ve also maintained that lightning-fast 8000 Hz polling rate in both wired and wireless modes, crucial for competitive gaming where every millisecond counts.

Battery life has always been a concern with high-performance wireless mice, but the V4 Pro offers up to 150 hours of gameplay at 1000 Hz. That’s weeks of gaming without worrying about your mouse dying mid-match, which is the kind of reliability that separates casual gear from professional-grade equipment.

There is also Razer’s first Optical Scroll Wheel, specifically designed for esports. Traditional mechanical scroll wheels often fail after heavy use, but the optical design promises triple the durability while maintaining precise, tactile control essential for weapon switching during intense gameplay. The mouse also features the all-new Razer Optical Mouse Switches Gen-4, redesigned for a crisper click feel and rated for an industry-leading 100 million clicks.

The Razer Focus Pro 45K Optical Sensor Gen-2 offers flawless tracking with up to 45,000 DPI, 900 IPS tracking speed, and 85 G acceleration, delivering 99.8% resolution accuracy. Advanced features like Dynamic Sensitivity and Mouse Rotation are useful for players who need to fine-tune their setup for different gaming scenarios.

The DeathAdder V4 Pro weighs at just 56 grams for the black version and 57 grams for white. It maintains the iconic ergonomic shape that made the DeathAdder famous while adding larger PTFE feet for smoother gliding and split side buttons designed to prevent accidental clicks.

The research and development involved direct collaboration with Counter-Strike legend Nikola “NiKo” Kovač, who recently joined Team Razer and had 10 international championship titles involved from early prototypes through final production.

The new DeathAdder V4 Pro looks to be an awesome upgrade from the DeathAdder V3 Pro (check my review and a gameplay video with the mouse).
